I am working nearly exclusively in porcelain now making highly decorated and textured pots. I mainly throw on the wheel with some handbuilding. I’m concentrating on finely thrown bowls, large centrepiece dishes, all sizes of jugs, and a wide range of drinking vessels. I love textures: lace, peacock feathers, shells and shiny things and the process of evolving these into my ceramics. I bisque to 1000c, then spray & trail slips onto the pots, glazing in a gas kiln with a cocktail of salt, soda and stannous chloride creating a random, lustrous iridescence.
